my story:

My late gynae used that word on me. It was many years ago when I had just delivered my baby. I went for my regular check up all on my own. I used to see spouses accompanied their wives.
After I had delivered my baby, I had to go for my post-natal check up together with my baby. When the doctor needed to check me, I brought in my baby too. He was surprised to see me alone.

The nurse had to carry my baby for a while. Later after the process, the doctor commented, "You are really a self-reliant lady!"

Well, I guess I am indeed one. I usually stand on my own. I don't like to depend too much on my husband.

siblings

Do you ever bothered to keep in touch with your siblings even though all of you are so busy with your own family affair?

As for me, I am very concerned about my siblings. If there's any way possible, I like to pay them a visit. As for my brothers and sisters, we are far away. Maybe not too far away as we are all still in Malaysia.

So I would it an effort to see my siblings as frequent as possible. All of us should spend some time with our parents if they are still around and don't ever forget our siblings..

Modern Kids

Kids nowadays are more connected to the cyber world. Some are really attached to it. They would rather sit in front of the pc whole day than spending time with the family.

I met my friend and I happened to ask about his teenage daughter. She used to follow him wherever he went when she was younger. Now at this age, she would rather stay at home.

So I asked, 'Where is she?'

He replied, 'Oh, she's at home chatting away!'

So, to beat them, we as parents need to be involved too..
