SHANGHAI: The stress of modern living had prompted many around the world to learn qigong. Recent joint studies from China and the United States also show that qigong can help cancer patients live longer.
One community club in Shanghai is practising a form of qigong that has helped members recover from life-threatening illnesses over the past 20 years.
Cancer survivor Qiu Jia Ming, 65, who suffered from pancreatic cancer years ago, said: "I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer when I was 50 years old and the doctor told me I only had three months to live. But I've survived 14 years now."
I believe this kind of exercise could definitely help to relieve the stress that cancer patients experience..

A story of Trust
A little girl and her father were crossing a bridge.
The father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter:
"Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river." The little girl said:
"No, Dad. You hold my hand."
"What's the difference?" Asked the puzzled father.
"There's a big difference," replied the little girl.
"If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go."
In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind, but in its bond. So hold the hand of the person whom you love rather than expecting them to hold yours...

Gratitude
Sometimes we take things for granted. We tend to forget to show our appreciation and not saying the magical word, "Thank You".
No matter how little a person has contributed his effort, we need to show that we care. Just simply buy a small gift or whatever to the person concern. Or maybe do something in return. That person would feel great and wanting to help more in future.
I always feel that we need to appreciate whatever a person has done for us. Just show our gratitude...

Fast Shot
I simply love to shoot from where I sit in the bus. Sometimes I could get quite a good shot. Like this London Eye..I wouldn't be able to get a full shot of it if we were so near it.

my story:
My late gynae used that word on me. It was many years ago when I had just delivered my baby. I went for my regular check up all on my own. I used to see spouses accompanied their wives.
After I had delivered my baby, I had to go for my post-natal check up together with my baby. When the doctor needed to check me, I brought in my baby too. He was surprised to see me alone.
The nurse had to carry my baby for a while. Later after the process, the doctor commented, "You are really a self-reliant lady!"
Well, I guess I am indeed one. I usually stand on my own. I don't like to depend too much on my husband.

siblings
Do you ever bothered to keep in touch with your siblings even though all of you are so busy with your own family affair?
As for me, I am very concerned about my siblings. If there's any way possible, I like to pay them a visit. As for my brothers and sisters, we are far away. Maybe not too far away as we are all still in Malaysia.
So I would it an effort to see my siblings as frequent as possible. All of us should spend some time with our parents if they are still around and don't ever forget our siblings..

Modern Kids
Kids nowadays are more connected to the cyber world. Some are really attached to it. They would rather sit in front of the pc whole day than spending time with the family.
I met my friend and I happened to ask about his teenage daughter. She used to follow him wherever he went when she was younger. Now at this age, she would rather stay at home.
So I asked, 'Where is she?'
He replied, 'Oh, she's at home chatting away!'
So, to beat them, we as parents need to be involved too..
