Let go

When our kids are grown and they have to leave us, we have to let go. When I had to let go my son for the first time, it was hard. But I tried to stay cool. I always thought of him and would call him without fail.

But gradually, I got used to it and guess I was already able to let go. When the next one were to leave us for university, I was better prepared. I didn't feel sad or anything at all. Furthermore, it's better this round as I can talk to her through skype.

So I guess most of us parents should be able to get accustomed to it when our kids have to leave us for further education.

Giving and receiving

I love to give and I don't expect anything in return. When I was in school, I talked to a friend. She believed in giving too. When we give someone's something, we expect that person to receive. We shouldn't say No.

My friend said, "Jangan tolak rezeki."

So it's good to give and it's also good to receive. In other words, we give and we take.

My mum used to say No but when I told her that it's ok to receive, she's been receiving lots of good will from people. People only like to give to those who like to receive.
